Minaret Fisheye

Minaret Fisheye

28 Feb 2010

Another shot from Amococo today. This time I used my new Peleng 8mm fisheye because I thought it'd really add to the abstract nature of the venue. I took this lying flat on the floor, right below the apex of the main minaret, and since I needed a half-second shutter I positioned my tripod over my head.

The main circle in the centre of the shot is the ceiling of the minaret. The six large archways around it lead off to other spheres and in some cases they then break off into smaller terminating spheres. And you can also see a few people standing around the place (at the circumference of the frame). It's hard to describe in words, I know!

Actually, now that I look back on yesterdays post I think the section of floor you can see there might have been where I was lying when I took this shot.
