Mini Temple
While H & I were both dismissive of the guides touting their services, there were a number of times when I would have liked to have known a bit more about what was going on, what we were seeing, the local customs or what laid beyond those "No Non-Hindus" signs. More the kind of tour a friend might give you than the detailed historical tours we were being offered. I feel I've come away with some nice photos, but barely scratched the surface of the culture and made no sign of a dent in understanding the religion (my well-travelled uncle would be horrified!). In hindsight I feel a bit amerikan in my tourist experience.
I have no idea what this little temple is. I'm pretty sure that's a Brahmin priest in there, and people were definitely getting blessings, possibly leaving donations, but I can't explain any more than that.
Nice photo though, hey?
