Boyz n the Hood was one of the first films I loved. Sod Star Wars, James Bond or any of that other shite, Boyz n the Hood was keepin it real before I knew what real was. And it was Cuba Gooding Jr.'s charachter Tre driving around in a VW Bug that made me want to get one. It wasn't my first car like I hoped, but while RedBug kept going and amazingly didn't kill me (despite being so unroadworthy the mechanic was shocked!) it was in it's own classic way, a pretty wicked ride that I loved.
