A detail of the moth's wing. With all the dust that comes from their wings when you touch them I didn't expect to see such fine and strange details – it's almost like plumage.
And a quick Google reveals they're scales (not just for fish anymore) "which are lost easily, as an evolutionary adaptation to prevent them getting caught in spider webs". Don't say I never teach you nuthin!
