My friend J is a DeviantArt(ist) and one of the photographers she follows took a cool shot with this mural as the backdrop. We were quite surprised to learn it was in our own city and checked the comments to find out which street. That was ages ago, but finally the other night as we were drunkenly walking/stumbling from one watering hole to the next I checked the alley I suspected it was down and sure enough there it was. So I revisited it the next day with camera in hand and grabbed my own shot.

Thankfully I didn't remember that the DA shot had been in B&W because I hate being consciously influenced by other peoples' similar shots - instead I just messed around with my shot till I found something I liked, which coincidentally was also a B&W version.
