When H & I checked into our hotel just before midnight during our recent junket, we wearily went into our room and were more than a little surprised to find two single beds. After glancing at each other and being amused by the possibility of sleeping separately we returned to reception to politely ask for a new room. They puzzled over the computer for a minute then handed us new key cards and off we went.

While we had booked the less glamourous 'street view' and been rewarded with single beds, we were pleasantly surprised to open the door to the new room and find not only a queen bed, but this awesome 'harbour view' out the window! Whoo-hoo! Free upgrade! Nice one! Always tastes sweeter when it's free.
