You ever notice that companies don't cast their name into the building facade anymore? I suppose modern signage has made it a redundant practice, but I kinda like it.

Yeah. There are lots of old buildings around Cork with sometimes old and forgotten names on them. They can’t be removed because they are so old.

Debenhams bought an Irish chain called “Roches Stores” last year. Their flagship store in Cork has the old name carved into the facade, really high up and very visible!
