Big Bright Thing!

At my office I'm lucky enough to sit nearest the floor-to-lofty-ceiling window, but now the summer is here at times I get a bit more sunshine than is comfortable. I don't dislike sun, I just prefer not to be blinded whilst being burned to a crisp every afternoon at about 3.30. Some of us have work to do you know.

But fear not, my boss is usually interfering/checking up on us and seems to consider himself a bit of an airflow/aircon technician and lowers the blind - not so much for me, more so the aircon has some effect in the place.

Now, I could get my ass out of my chair and drop that blind for myself (I reckon I could make the 2-3 metre walk), but by now it's become a bit of a tradition. In fact I'll wait for the boss to be around and then comment on the "Big bright thing!!!" and he'll come over and lower the blind. Sometimes I can even get one of my colleagues to lower the blind if they're grabbing something from the printer and they're inclined to play my game.

So yeah, when I saw Bird sitting behind these railings and his shadowy shelter rapidly diminishing I thought to myself "Uh oh! Big bright thing!"
