Wallface
Sometimes I find it quite hard to crop my shots. This one for example, I suspect I should crop out the foreground because you can argue that the expanse of concrete isn't really doing much for the shot. And the razor-wire is cut off, so might as well lose that completely. But to me these are relevant to understanding the complete setting of the piece, plus, cropping feels too close and loses all proportion.
Then I rationalise by saying the perspective and the lines on the ground actually draw your eye to the subject of the face, and the razor-wire combined with the crumbling wall are a nice juxtaposition with the contented face. But then I think I might be talking out my arse and I'm back to square one.
Fuckit, I'm going to go with what I framed when I took the shot. For better or for worse.
