I've looked at yesterdays post a few times and I have to say I'm not wild on it... the stencil is pretty good, but my shot is less so - and that bothers me. Which got me to thinking about the old 'do I post for the sake of posting, or only post really good shots? ' question. I generally support the 'post something, post anything' opinion because not everyone can post 100% perfect shots 100% the time, and besides, one poster's crappy photo is another persons inspiration.

I've been less consistent than I'd like these past few weeks and I've been asking myself if I should continue, quit, or take a break. I vote with continuing because when I look back over the last two years, 650+ posts, there are many many shots in there that I probably wouldn't have processed if it wasn't for the demands of making a daily Detour post. And even some of the 'filler' shots ended up becomming favourites the next day (just one random example is 'The wind that shakes the barley')

So while I'm not on-target 100% of the time, all I hope is that others extract as much from my shots as I do - daily life with a dash of art and/or beauty thrown into the mix.

Anyway, onto the shot. This is Silba, P's roommate's kitten. It was nice to visit with P, and to get out of town for the weekend, but meeting this cute little short-haired kitten just made it all the more fun! (I love cats! H always says I was a cat in a previous life.)
