Sinking Ship

I wish I had a better pic of this little guy, but the rest were blurry so this will have to do. I'm not at all sure what he is, some kind of water rat I guess. He had spiny little hind toes that looked like they were webbed, and he happily zipped from one little muddy island to the next with his soggy bread-crumb. Anyone want to help me out here?

Update:: Yeah, bit of Google searching says it's a water rat, or more properly a Rakali - so named to remove the negative connotations of 'rat' and to foster appreciation of it as a native animal. I love the innernet!

Nice shot none the less (except for the “rat” part :).
Especially the still water surrounding the little critter look nice. I also like that slight ISO noise. It adds some depth to the shot.

Yes great shot of the Australian Water Rat (Hydromys chrysogaster). These little buggers are great and usually quite shy. Nearly hunted to extinction by early immigrants for their awesome water wear fur. :)
