I've seen a few other phloggers do the odd band pic, usually because their friends need some promo shot and they (the phlogger) are happy to give it a go. Bit of experience really, for everyone involved.

So M, one of my friends, decided legal was less appealing than music and took a year off to pursue his passion. Hard to say if he's mad to drop the day job, or everyone else is just jealous that he had the bollox to do it, but either way he's set up some bands and is Arctic-Monkeying them on CrapSpace. He needed some shots, I offered, and his payment of beer was duly accepted.

I had better aspirations for the end result, but he seemed pretty happy with a few of them, so that's cool. Good luck dude.

Wasn't sure on whether black & white was the way to go here, or colour. You decide.
