The Proposal

The hopeless romantic in me wants this to be an actual proposal, the skeptic in me says it's not, and the reality-me bets it's an after-the-fact celebration. But whatever the story behind it, I like the concept.

In case you can't quite make it out, here's what it says:

A knife to cut this stencil
A knife to make this art
But no knife has been created
That can cut you from my heart

And unlike this fickle paint
Which will soon be gone and buffed
Time will never fade away
The beauty of our love

Now every night before I sleep
I'll be on my knees to pray
That God will keep you next to me
Until our dying days

So take my hand and take my heart
And keep your eyes on christ
And let me ask the question April...
Will you be my wife?
