   Yeah I know excatly what you mean. When I browse through my old stuff I often think about how my technique has gotten better and how much my choice of motives have changed. But the angle of attack is still the same; the most important thing to me is having fun while shooting.
   On the other hand I find it harder to shoot these days. When I was a “beginner” I was happy snapping away at anything that moved, like the shot of your coffee cup. Now I’ve grown to be much more picky about my subjects. Sad really. It like Picasso said:”…at 15 I painted like Velazquez, and it took me 80 years to paint like a child…”.

   Maybe I should just stop rambling away. You get my drift (?)

   I totally get your drift and in fact I feel the same about my photography now in that I used to take snap shots of friends and family if we were out and about or having a family lunch … but now unless it’s got potential to be a really good shot I don’t bother. Plus, I’m more selective about when and where I bring my bigger camera. Funny how you become more inhibited - you just know that a shot won’t work, rather than giving it a go like you did when you were first starting.
