Toy Soldiers
This is the last of the amazing murals I found along the same street the other weekend. I'm still blown away by them, even when I look at these shots, because they're really bloody good (the murals that is). I like the almost chaotic composition, the strong shapes and colours, the layers of detail and the size of the damn things! They're spectacular.
Course, I just wish I could do something like that, but best I can manage is a bad stick figure. A painter I ain't!
I visited this spot twice to get a good shot, but each time there was a different car parked out front blocking a clear view from the street. In desperation I snapped this one angled shot from the only unobscured vantage point, and pretty much resigned myself to it being a wasted shot because I don't usually like crazy-angled scenes. But I dunno, I think it works for this one.
