Continuing on from yesterday, H & I went down to the local gaol and had a look around. We timed it to join a tour, but the guide ended up being a bit nervous-strange and after a very slow, long and painful 20 minutes we (like many others had already done) straggled just long enough to lose the group. After that it was just a nice stroll around your local jail, as you do!
I've long heard of there being sleep-overs at the place, but it was still strange to peek in to these cells and see rickety metal frame beds with floral duvets and pillow-cases, along with a nice little bedside-table and lamp. Even nice pastel cell-doors. All just seemed somehow wrong!
