I've got a love/hate relationship with zoos. I love to see the animals, but I hate to see their small enclosures. It's particularly depressing to see animals pacing or swaying, which in all honesty makes me want to cry.
The hippos in the zoo here had a big enough water tank that you lost sight of them in the murky water. Both of them. - That's a big tank. This crocodile on the other hand... was in ankle-deep water and the puddle wasn't much bigger than him. I just don't understand how zoos in the modern world can get away with this shit! Sickens me. (Though I realise the hypocrisy of paying $18 to get in.)
