Riveted
Back to Death Valley for todays post.
I'd been to Death Valley a few years back, and I loved it. But one thing I missed out on were the sights only accessible by 4WD, so this time we rented an appropriate vehicle.
We got up early and drove in at about 8am. Before too long we found a track which lead off to an old mine, so eager to use the old 4WD we headed down. A mile or two of bumping and bouncing later we came across the ruins of the Keane Wonder Mine, an old gold, sliver and lead mine.
We had a quick walk around, and though I wanted to climb the rickety mine-head structure, H was having none of it. So I settled on grabbing a few quick shots including this one of an old rusting tank, before the heat forced us back to the comfort of the cars a/c!
Start the year right with a designer Detour calendar. January 09 and February 09 now available.
