In the same vein as some of my other bird pics is this guy (or girl), one of the local black swans.

I still find black swans a bit of a novelty, because where I grew up swans were most definitely white. A black swan would have stood out like a reverse albino, but here they're common and I can't remember the last time I saw a 'proper' swan! But whatever colour the parents are, the cygnets are still a fulffy grey and chirp like baby birds do!
