I've still got some glow sticks left over from New Years that I keep on meaning to do something with. I love glowing things, and I reckon I could come up with a few groovy photos with the old glow sticks! So as a bit of a test shoot I cracked just one and played around with it for a bit.

This was a fairly simple abstract idea I came up with, and I think it makes for an interesting shot. (Can you make out the set-up before I explain it?)

I grabbed a round mirror, and placed the lens just before the edge of it, then I rested the glow stick on top of the lens and let it stretch out in front of the camera. A cool effect.

I love the depth of field here, and the deep blue colour. I'll have to see how the other glow stick colours look soon.
