The Fur, The Frock, and The Fluffy Hat
The main objective on my recent night time ramble was neon. With only one definite place (a small drive away) I knew had a great big neon sign, I was gonna have to just take my chances with what I stumbled upon around town. That meant it was all a bit of a needle in a haystack, so driving was going to let me cover more ground, and get to that big neon sign.
So drive I did. Up and down the regular shopping streets I knew so well, keeping my eyes peeled for the neon I knew I'd recognise as being familiar, but which I wouldn't have been able to tell you was there ahead of time. Funny thing about looking for something like this; when you look, you find it all over the place. Even small insignificant signs that you'd ignore in your daily routines become night-n-day obvious. Ahh yes, photo eyesTM, the renewed view.
So this was along one of the streets bordering the market, which actually had a bunch of neon signs I never realised were there. Until that is, I was doing a start-stop-park, start-stop-park pattern of driving that the few lonely late night bus passengers must have thought was particularly strange, or annoying.
I loved the setting for this neon. Check out the kitsch display of knick-knacks, dolls, beads, toy and furniture. Bit of a one stop fun shop. But of course my favourite is the centre-piece of that fantastic fur, frock, and frilly hat. Just screams BUY ME!
