As I was doing the rounds of the more interesting Dahlias I had noticed there was a quite a bit of bee activity going on around me. Mostly they kept to themselves, and I did my best not to bother them.
One low group of flowers seemed to be particularly busy with the bee crowd so I carefully hovered around a few flowers to get a nice macro. But they were quick little bees, flitting here and there, barely resting long enough for me to focus on them. I almost had a great shot of one particular bee with bulging pollen sacks, but in the end managed to catch this little worker furiously harvesting away. Then I got the hell out of their way!
