The Greenhouse
I headed off to the local Botanic gardens to grab some flower shots, but my first stop was this building. It is, apparently, a greenhouse. A fucking gynormous greenhouse, it seems. When I think of a greenhouse, I see a little glass shed stuck at the end of a dismal (postage stamp sized) english back-garden. Somewhere for the old codger to tend to his roses and tomatos. I don't tend to think of something akin to a flying saucer embedded into the earth after a particularly bad wrong turn.
Now don't get me wrong, I don't dislike this greenhouse, I just think it's a bit much. I love old conservatories, the glass-work, the vibrant plants, the heat and smells in the tropical ones, great, love it. This just seems a world apart from such conservatories. - Ahh well, one day I'll pay the admission fee and check it out inside.
