Sunset

As I mentioned the other day, I'd gone out for some after-works drinks with friends since it was Paddy's Day. I wanted to hit a specific pub in town and give it a try, but the others weren't so sure when we did a drive-by and saw how many people were pouring out on to the street. Undeterred, even after driving in ever increasing circles to find a parking spot, we walked back to the pub and fought our way to the bar. After a while of being jostled this way and that, of being bombarded with bad covers from the band, and general discontent at it all, we called it quits and moved on to the next destination. As we walked back to the car, we headed into a fantastic sunset, and I stopped by a traffic cone to grab a shot.

In the past, my sunset shots have never really captured the fantastic colours of the sky. It's always been a disappointment. But this time I managed to get just what I saw, firey colours and all.
