Fountain
We've had a bit of good weather recently so the other weekend I decided to walk into town. And since I've been carrying my camera less than usual I made a point of throwing it in my bag, and of keeping my eyes open. Sometimes you need to do that, to look around, notice your surroundings, see things with new eyes.
After I'd bought some essentials, and was making my way home, I passed by the front of the Library which they've recently finished doing-up to make it more pedestrian and plaza-like. I think the fountains were there before, or at least they're not a particularly recent addition, but in all honesty I'd never really noticed them. That Saturday, I did. And immediately I saw the shot in my head with the water-streams all lined up.
As I was between shots about 2 other people, probably tourists, (the Library & Gallery are obvious tourist stops) checked out what I was looking at and grabbed a shot of their own. Funny how that happens, you set up a tripod and people notice you, and the scene in front of them. I don't mind, I think it's a little flattering.
