Nightbridge
It's generally at this point on my night time runs that I turn off my music. Turning right at the end of the bridge leads you along a badly-lit tree-lined path, thru a graffiti and piss soaked pedestrian tunnel that runs under the train-line, before depositing you into 'my park'*, which after dark can be eerily deserted. - It's probably relatively safe for a bloke, but even so I keep my wits about me, give potential hiding spots a wide berth and run with clenched fists. But just as it raises the pulse a little, it can also be quite calming... the birds mutter from their roosts, the odd animal scurries across my path, and with any distant traffic muffled by the vegetation, the darkness feels cozy to me.
*I call it 'my park', because I used to run thru it almost daily and I grew to quite like it. Not knowing the proper name I just described it as 'the park I liked', which in time became abbreviated to 'my park'.
Start the year right with a designer Detour calendar. January 09 and February 09 now available.
