M's parents have a weekend home (or 'shack') in the seaside town of G, and about once a year they let our group of friends take it over for a weekend. This of course entails a visit or two to the beach, the odd fruitless spot of fishing and a lot of booze in the evenings. Your general coastal fun.

This was the view from the balcony, looking across the river. I liked the darkness and the scant bit of light cast by the lone streetlight. - But even that light didn't last... the town has somewhat frequent blackouts!
