Jet Plane
Since most street art is two dimensional, I tend to notice and enjoy the artists who venture into the third dimension. While I haven't found a whole lot of three dimensional pieces, I've seen the odd item stuck to the back of traffic signs [typicall stop signs]: a decorated bit of balsa-wood, and a couple of lego-brick characters (reminiscent of a Space Invader now that I think about it). On my most recent walk about the streets and alleys I came across this one.
It's a fairly standard ceramic tile I guess, and while the piece is executed in a simple way, I think it's quite effective. I like the colours and the jet trails. And clearly a bit of time went into preparing this so that with a few squirts of 'liquid nails' it'd be stuck to the cement post for quite a while!
