Space Invader
On one of our first visits to the big smoke, when I was having a crap time finding street art and generally disappointed at the apparent lack of it, I did discover one piece that made me smile. I discovered a space invader.
Somewhere along the line when surfing I'd come across www.space-invaders.com. This guy is kinda cool. He installs his pre-made ceramic tile pieces in what appear to be almost inaccessible places, or simply half way up a wall! And this, he does around the world. I believe he's French, so Paris has numerous locations of his space invaders. For Paris and some other cities he provides maps to where each invader is.
Anyway, I didn't know he'd been here, but I recognised the piece immediately! As you can see, it's on the side of a bridge. In a spot that doesn't look all that accessible. And it's not a small piece either. All most cool.
The thing I find funny about this is that so many people walk by/near it each day, and never see it. Hidden art. Love it.

Now endorsed by my mum: "I love it!" she said.
