Fake Duck
H considers these fowl to be fake ducks. Not real ducks; fake ducks. I always thought it was because of the lack of a typical duck-bill, but apparently it's because 'their head is too small'. And their lack of a suitable bill. Plus their body is too small! Poor fowl. They can't use the duck crossing I guess. No ducklings for them (faklings?). Are they even allowed a quack? I'm not sure. But I like them nonetheless, even if they do hiss at me madly when I jog by.
But I have to laugh, because while I'm usually pretty good with common duck names, I have absolutely NO idea what these kind are typically called. All I know them as are 'fake ducks'.
Taken on another weekend feeding-the-ducks walk.
