NY06 was a Ball!

Last New Years (NY05) H&I threw a somewhat impromptu party. A week or two before NY no one had made any real plans, so we offered our place. Don't mind tootin our own horn; reports say it was a good night.

This year, it was K's (of K&S apartment fame) 30th, so H&I volunteered our place as a joint birthday/NY venue once more. And again the recent reports tell a good night was had by all. (I think we'll take a break next year before it becomes too much of a tradition, coz rushing about like mad from 9am to 9pm to get everything in place means we/I only started to calm down about 10pm-ish! But heck, it was another night to remember!)

During the week, H&I had been at the local supermarket when we saw they had packs of 15 glow-necklaces for $2 (I love the things modern supermarkets stock!), so we bought 5 packs. Mid-way thru the party we handed them out. Some people weren't too sure what to make of them at first, but being a few drinks into the night no one really cared that the place was starting to look like a rave!

Anyway, this was a glow-stick ball I'd had in the back of a drawer since some other party. I wasn't even sure it'd still work, but it glowed bright alright!
