Bah Humbug

I'm a bit of a (big) Bah Humbug person, but I thought it'd be a missed opportunity not to take a shot of the town tree. So I headed in just before midnight and from the relative safety of a traffic island, took a few shots. I got four shots off before the traffic lights turned red and as I suspected, someone waiting at the lights shouted something at me from their car. - But I didn't expect them to call me by name!

"Hey A, how ya doin?!" this guy call out.

I turned around and instantly recognised him... "Bloody hell, I!" I said, "This town is TOO small!"

Sure enough, of all the people to bump into, it was a good friend that I hadn't seen in about a year. Couldn't have planned it if we'd tried!

I pointed over to where I'd parked and he pulled over to chat. There we were, midnight, in the middle of town on kirstmas eve havin a grand ol chat about how meaningless kristmas was! Then he said "For someone who doesn't like kristmas you seem to be taking a lot of interest in the tree!" - "Ah yes," I said, "but it's got lights. I don't really care that they're wrapped around this green tree thing."

So I guess that makes three things I don't hate about kristmas... time off, drinks, and the blinky-lights!
