Dark Alley

It was H's birthday but we didn't want to do anything big, so instead we just invited all our friends to turn up at our local if they were in the mood. You never know who will bother to turn up when you extend that kind of invitation... sometimes no-one, sometimes [as happened here] almost everyone! We ended up taking over one area of the bar as our own, and since we'd brought in a nice bit of business for the bar, the bar-tenders we happened to be on pretty good terms with anyway, threw in a birthday drink for H; one of their most excellent Long Island Iced Teas. In my opinion, THE best in town bar-none.

Anyway, about halfway through the evening I nipped out of the bar to get a breath of fresh air, and wandered down the alley behind the bar. - Something about the menacing way the scene was lit made me think there might be a photo in there, so without really thinging about it too much I grabbed a shot before heading back inside. And whadda know? This was the best shot of the evening! (Oh it was a good night alright, but i just liked this pic the best.)
