New Bike Rack

I took this during another trip H & I took to the big smoke. I mean, yeah, it's a bike rack, and they're in numerous cities around the world and the sun was shining so yeah there was a shadow. All makes sense when you think about it.

But we were on holiday, and the thing about being on holiday is that you look at things slightly differently, you break out of your usual patterns of habit and if you're lucky you start to notice new and exciting things. I love that. Like moving to a new city or country, you're hyper aware of all the strange tastes, noises, smells, products, money, people, customs, etc. Even the simplest thing you've done for years takes feels new. - So every now and again when I'm walking around my same ol' same ol', I try to remind myself to OPEN my eyes, look up at the buildings, see things anew, remember when it wasn't that same ol' same ol'.

Sometimes I remember.
