Bukem

You know how sometimes you're introduced to something, an artist, a certain type of music, style, place, etc by someone, typically the opposite sex, and usually someone important in your life? Well, C, whom I consider a sister, introduced me to LTJ Bukem (his real name is Danny Williamson and his nickname/artist name comes from the Hawaii Five-O catch-phrase "book 'em, Danno").

I've seen him spin a few times, and missed him about as many. This last time I managed to score free tickets coz I was doing the event photography for the dance website thing. But it was a bit of a crap night to be honest. I wasn't really in the mood, the venue wasn't great and didn't offer any particularly exciting shots, the punters weren't all that friendly (which is a small problem when I'm meant to get artist shots and also punter shots (I hate asking people if I can take their pic!)), my camera was being a right pain in the arse and refusing to focus due to such low light in the place and then to absolutely top it all off the sound system was seriously shit! All in all, once I had enough shots I pissed off home and was glad of it!
