KW Bridge
I've run by this bridge all hours of the night and day, in the proverbial rain and shine. From the mild smell of piss to 30 seconds shelter from the elements to my daily commute, this bridge is many things to me. And depending on the distance I'm running, it's the almost half-way mark or 1/10th of that.
Many a time I've run under it in a clear night and thought to myself it'd be worth coming back to capture it in the crisp cold air. So after a few years I finally managed to make it down to the waters edge late one night. Many many shots later, I felt I had something worthwhile. But thankfully I'd recently converted myself to use my cameras RAW format so some post-processing later I was able to truly finesse the shot.
See, that's what I love about digital, the opportunity to change things later. RAW allows you to take the shot as you saw it, and consider the 'what if'. What if I dropped out some of the shadows completely, what if I sharpened things just a little, what if I changed the light temperature from X to Y? And suddenly your best decisions then become improved by your fresh eyes now.
