Lizard King

It was a nice day so K dropped round to see if H & I were up for a minor hike in the hills. Sure, why not? And off we trundled. Nothing too strenuous, but it was good to be out in the nice weather and the clear air. As we walked we half glimpsed the odd lizard scuttling and scurrying away. Then one of them crossed right in front of us and rested in a sunny spot just up ahead of us.

I crept up but each time I got close he rushed off. Eventually after a bit of cat and mouse I think he felt suitably camouflaged on the rock amongst the twigs and held still just long enough for me to s-l-o-w-l-y stretch out my arms and ease the 4x zoom so he was in frame before I ever so gently squeezed off a shot. Course, he bolted when he heard the beep, but thankfully not before.
