Gutter Scream
Art or Graffiti? To me, art.
One of the first things I did when I got my hands on a digital camera was walk around my new city and take photos of normal everyday things. I see beauty in the norm, art in the urban landscape, and suddenly I saw what I'd never noticed, that the alleys and dumpsters were a modern art gallery. I had discovered "Street Art".
Now I'm not talking about some asshole scrawling his name on the wall like a dog pisses on a tree, nor the NY stylised 'graf' (though there is merit in graf, at the expense of legibility), but the stencils, stickers and (non-commercial) bill-posters that fill the urban canvas if you look out for them. And once you do, you see them all over the place. Suddenly the urban industrial became my modern-day modern-art gallery.
I've seen this sticker around town a fair bit now, but never like this. This is art as the artist never intended.
